Mygamer.com
In the last six years, I have been working as an editor for Shock 3D L.L.C., a company that produces and operates online publications. I began writing and editing for the company in late 1998 as a reviewer and database admin, where I wrote small reviews and previews for a videogame webpage they own, www.Mygamer.com (formally www.gameunit.com).
Quickly, my obligations on the site began to increase as I was promoted. Eventually promoted to Managing Editer, I co-ran Mygamer.com with the Editor-In-Chief. Because of this, I became fluent in web development, hosting, programing code, as well as using desktop publishing and design software such as: Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Freehand.
I’ve had numerous experiences representing the Mygamer.com as a PR director for the past five years. I have attended trade-only video game events as a member of the press in cities such as L.A. (E3: Electronic Entertainment Expo), Tokyo (Tokyo Game Show), and San Francisco (Video Game Job Confernce). Also, it was my job to manage staff relations, editing and publication deadlines, exclusivity agreements and all other internal business.
Even though these expiereces are dear to me, I began as journalist, where I wrote reviews, previews, interviews, editorials, and news bites on current video games and other related topics. Below are the some of the highlighted articles I've had on published on the site. These articles range the entirety of my duration at Mygamer.com along with a wide variety of writing styles.
Please feel free to peruse my work at your prefference, but I recommend reading my reviews of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Gunvalkyrie, Metroid Prime, Rez, Virtua Fighter 4 and Super Mario Sunshine
